If you love to make music, there are multiple possibilities for you to share your passion and gifts with others at Walla Walla University. In addition to two choirs, we have a wind symphony, a full symphony orchestra, a steel band, a big band, a brass quintet, and various other small ensembles for you to consider.

University Singers 

Director: Dr. Kraig Scott

The University Singers are Walla Walla University’s general choir. Membership in University Singers is open to all students, faculty, staff, and community musicians; entrance by audition. The University Singers perform one major concert performance per quarter plus performances for church services.

ICantori of Walla Walla University

Director: Dr. Kraig Scott

The university’s select choir, an auditioned group chosen from the entire student body, enjoys a history of touring that began in 1929. Renamed ICantori (Italian: “the singers”) in 1979, the ensemble has traveled extensively in the Pacific Northwest and western United States, and most recently, New York City and Washington D.C. Performances include sacred and secular classical choral repertoire in concert and on tour, plus church and local performances. Required membership in University Singers.

Symphony Orchestra

Wind Symphony

Open to all students, with entrance by audition. This is a traditional concert band that performs locally and does some off-campus touring. Wind Symphony members rehearse three times a week.

Traditional big band with vocalists that performs a variety of musical styles including jazz and popular music. Open to all students and staff by audition. Performances include concerts and special events on and off campus.
