Walla Walla University offers a number of classes from a broad range of disciplines online during the summer term. Students in the nursing program take classes on the Portland campus, and Masters of Social Work students complete course requirements on our Montana campuses (as well as our College Place campus). We also offer the opportunity for K-12 educators to take courses during our summer session.
Summer classes at WWU

The classes listed below are suggested lower-division classes that are recommended for students in the Summer program.
Courses meet four or five days a week for 8 weeks unless otherwise indicated on the class schedule. The maximum number of credits you can take during summer session is 12. The number of credits assigned to each course is indicated below.

Online courses
Students taking online courses must have basic computer competency, including use of e-mail and regular high-speed internet access.

Find online-only classes at classopen.hkange.net. Choose the term you would like to search within and select the "Online only" check box.
Students may register for online or hybrid courses as indicated below:
- Currently enrolled Walla Walla University students register online through myWWU beginning in April.
- North Pacific Union Conference K-12 teachers register online for all courses, including online or hybrid courses.
- Guest students taking courses for transfer to other institutions (not seeking a degree at Walla Walla University) register by completing a registration form and payment information online or in person at the Academic Records Office.
Financial clearance is required for all students. Students who register for classes but do not obtain financial clearance by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, will be automatically dropped from all summer courses.
Financial information
All tuition, fees, and housing costs are due at registration. Other charges are due when billed. Online financial clearance is required and may be arranged through a student’s myWWU account or through Student Financial Services at (509) 527-2815 or (800) 656-2815 or student.financials@hkange.net after June 5. Students who register for classes but do not obtain financial clearance by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, will be automatically dropped from all summer courses
