Accommodations at WWU
Walla Walla University is committed to educational access and inclusion for all students. In accordance with the American with Disabilities Act and subsequent updates to that legislation, WWU ensures that all programs and services provided by the college are accessible to all of our students. Our office and our campus partners are committed to promoting and providing inclusive and equitable educational access for WWU students with disabilities through accommodations, support, and advocacy.
Accommodations Available
Our staff work with you to arrange needed accommodations based on your documentation and individual needs. These accommodations may or may not include (but are not limited to):
- Accessible classrooms and housing
- Books and other printed materials in alternative format
- Exam Accommodations (such as extra time on exams or readers for exams)
- Communication with offices on campus, staff and faculty
If you anticipate needing accommodations during JumpStart (placement exam accommodations), please submit your disability documentation to DSS and indicate what accommodations you are requesting specifically for JumpStart week. Please be aware that there are placement exams during JumpStart. Getting in touch with our office early will ensure that we are able to provide appropriate and reasonable accommodations.
